Upgrading an existing HTML client on a Web Server

Step-by-step guide

  1. Download the client msi installer.
  2. Open the c:\inetpub\wwwroot\<forms inmotion client folder>\FIM_ServerLocation.js file
  3. Find the definition for the _ServerLocation variable.  Copy that line to the clipboard or another holding place.
  4. Run the installer.  It will overwrite the files in your client folder
  5. Open the new FIM_ServerLocation.js file, find that _ServerLocation variable definition again and replace it with the one from the clipboard. This will point the client to the server that was previously configured on this machine
